Administrative Assistant

We have a need for an Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday 9-5 and is an important position within our organization, responsible for most of the day to day, month to month tasks that are essential for making a company run. There is an endless list of multitasking that is required as we navigate from startup to growth company, so a highly organized individual is a requirement. 

 

We are seeking somebody who has some comprehension of billing and accounting practices and experience with Quickbooks and Microsoft Access data entry. As we expand, we are transitioning systems so an awareness of the growth trajectory and system preparedness for that scaling is important to us. 

 

Some basic tasks that will be done each week are:

 

  • Ordering components from existing vendors, creating purchase orders, tracking orders and process, onboarding and handling new vendors, organizing and maintaining associated paperwork
  • Answering all inbound phone calls and routing to appropriate person, follow up contact and call routing, taking messages when appropriate
  • Shipping and receiving packages using FedEx, UPS, etc., printing labels, assorted packaging, etc.
  • Coordinating meetings, generating reports, greet and assist visitors, making reservations and travel arrangements, booking appointments, filing, reordering supplies and other associated administrative tasks
Technician

A person in the Technician position will:

  • Use a variety of hand tools
  • Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process
  • Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications
  • Obtain proper product materials per Bill of Materials
  • Have knowledge of safety devices and operating procedures
  • Assembling mechanical components and kits
  • Installing components and kits into a housing unit
  • Attain appropriate production rates for assigned work center
  • Perform quality checks on products and parts
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, etc.
  • Package finished products and prepare them for shipment
  • Sweep, or otherwise clean work areas
  • Complete production reports to communicate results to management

May be responsible for

  • Routine preventative maintenance, minor setup and changeover of workstation
  • Maintaining good housekeeping, keeping machinery and work area clean and safe
  • Assisting other team members with work, rework and final production
  • Following step by step standard work procedure to ensure final part/product meets all quality standards
  • Must be willing and able to operate on multiple work areas per production schedule
  • All other related duties as directed by the Supervisor


Qualifications

Graduation from high school plus high level vocational training and experience in the field; supervisory experience highly desirable; or any equivalent combination of training and experience and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineers, scientists, students, and other team members.

Embedded Systems Programmer

This person must have experience programming embedded systems for products that have successfully been delivered to the market.

  • Manage current codebase including: tracking/fixing bugs
  • Work with manufacturing to develop programming workflows/systems at the factory
  • Work with sales and server-side teams to add features to current products
  • Strong experience with compiled languages
  • Strong experience with programming in C/C++
  • Experience with developing for embedded systems (Arduino and RaspberryPi generally do not count)
  • Neat and organized (especially important, we need to write clean, well-commented, and organized code)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with various internal teams and external manufacturing
  • Experience with Mongoose OS
  • Basic knowledge of embedded systems and inter-chip communication methods I2C, UART
  • Unit testing in C/C++
  • Experience with AWS IOT
  • Experience with IOT/embedded systems security

SMT Machine Operator

This person must have experience with Universal GSM 4 machines as well as the Essemtec Pantera XV. Knowing how to run reflow ovens, load/unload feeders, pick parts, operate solder paste machine, and SMT pick and place machines is required.

Some additional knowledge in:

  • Assemble boards using written process instructions, assembly drawings and visual aids
  • Perform surface mount soldering, de-soldering, and thru-hole soldering
  • Conduct first piece and final inspection of mixed SMT and thru-hole circuit assemblies
  • Use microscope while soldering and inspecting SMT components
  • Assist in the training of other assemblers
  • Participate in continuous improvement process.
